IAL Logistics, part of the worldwide IAL Group, has opened a new warehousing facility in Singapore and is using ATMS’ StockTrack PLUS (STP) warehouse management system to support its latest operation. The Group currently employs over 800 qualified staff throughout 80 locations spread across the Middle East, Indian sub continent, South East Asia and Far East.

After carefully evaluating a number of solutions, IAL selected STP to control the warehousing operation which has approximately 1,000 pallet spaces. Chief Operating Officer, IAL Singapore, Mr Ram Prasad said ‘We chose STP because the standard warehousing application combined with the charging and custom modules gave us a complete solution that was cost effective, flexible and easy to use’. The system uses Psion Teklogix WorkaboutPro radio data terminals throughout to ensure the system is updated in real time and remote access is provided via ATMS’ web speed module. He added ‘the benefits in terms of speed and accuracy have already become apparent in the short time we have been using the system’

Local support for the system is provided by ATMS’ Asia Pacific regional headquarters in Singapore who were on stand-by to ensure that everything went smoothly during the recent go-live at the beginning of November 2007.
