Fashion logistics specialists Prima
Distribution Services are forging
ahead in the high volume market
thanks to the investments made in
systems at their Crewe warehouse.
The Company processes and
distributes millions of garments
every year to high street chain
stores such as New Look and have
recently signed up for ATMS’
StockTrack PLUS (STP) warehouse
management system to control the
flow of goods from the moment they
arrive on site to the point of
despatch via their fleet of
vehicles.
Director, Ray Halford,
commented “We had systems in place
to track deliveries once they were
on the vehicle but we lost
visibility of them prior to that
during the various stages of
processing at our warehouse. With
STP we will have a complete picture
of everything traveling through our
operation and the means to record
our activities and report back
accurately to our customers. Our
administration office in Mitcham
under the guidance of Director,
Sally Halford will also have live
access to the system to enable them
to pro-actively liaise with
clients.”
Prima offer a full pre-retail
service which includes receiving
boxed garments, steaming, bagging,
price labeling and sending out
hanging garments ready for forward
delivery to individual store. With
core STP they will be able to track
all stock movements and the addition
of the charging module means the
administration involved in
accurately recording the value added
services they provide is simplified.
The system is due to go live in the
summer and will provide real-time
data using Motorola radio data
terminals. The implementation of STP
is seen as the first stage in the
Company’s plans to expand the
services offered to their clients
and as an opportunity to maximize
the use of their facilities.
ATMS plc is UK based and owned, and
is globally represented with offices
in Dubai, China, Singapore and
Belgium.
