Stock Track PLUS was introduced to help the company monitor and control its stock carefully and to further improve its level of customer service.   The system enables the fast movement of high volumes of garments, yet provides detailed tracking by way of a unique barcoded label attached to every single garment.  This enables the company to ensure complete picking accuracy whilst monitoring real time stock levels using radio data terminals.  Moreover, it allows the company to track the history of every garment and to provide a reclaim and recycle service to their customers, in instances where employees leave, for example, making their investment in corporatewear more cost effective and helping them to reduce their overall spend.  

Logistics Director, Steve Cassapi, commented that StockTrack PLUS is essential to our business in enabling us to provide the high levels of service expected by our customers.   We provide a wardrobe service tailored for the individual employee and this means that picking and packing has to be 100% accurate.  The system also links to a sophisticated forecasting system to enable us to accurately maintain appropriate levels of stock.

The Stock Track PLUS system was chosen because it had the flexibility to meet the specific requirements of our business.  We are very much focussed on customer service and we needed a system which could incorporate the wide variety of needs of our individual customers.  Also in such a fast moving environment we needed a system which provided real time information and which enabled us to respond quickly to changing situations.    ATMS worked closely with us on the initial design of the system and we see it very much as a long term partnership to constantly evaluate the current and future needs of our business.

The system has now been extended out to the companies manufacturing base in Sri Lanka to provide full visibility of stock from manufacturer to remote warehouse, via the port and ship and to Dimensions in the UK.  The use of electronic advanced shipping notification and pre-labelled consignments dramatically simplifies and improves to goods receipt process. 

The next phase of the system is to introduce a refined pick and pack operation to assist with the high volumes of late and same day order picks and to enable Dimensions to interface with their courier company's system to send timely and accurate pre-advice detailing orders awaiting collection.
