Gulf Warehousing Company, headquartered in Doha, Qatar, has just placed a contract for a major Warehouse Management System for its new 46,000 pallet space warehouse in Qatar.

Mr Abdul Rahman Alkhulaifi, General Manager of Gulf Warehousing said, ‘Gulf Warehousing is a pioneer in the provision of storage and logistics services in Qatar. Our new warehouse will be one of the most advanced in the Middle East, as such it is important that we are running with a World Class warehouse management system – for this reason after extensive evaluation of all the leading systems we selected ATMS StockTrack PLUS’. 

The project will be implemented by Mobileware, a local partner of ATMS plc. Eng. Atif Ahmed Karrani, Managing Director of Mobileware said, ‘We are delighted to be working with such a prestigious client and look forward to supporting their future growth’.

The system will control all aspects of the warehousing operation including receipt of goods, space management and optimisation of material movements, inventory control and despatch. The latest colour, touch screen bar code Radio Data Terminals will be used with wireless networking implemented across the facility. The warehouse is designed to be multi client and to store a wide range of products. Narrow aisle racking with dedicated material handling equipment, controlled by StockTrack PLUS, is used to gain  maximum capacity from the facility. The warehouse also has a major cold store area, again specifically controlled by the system, with full traceability and shelf life control.
