Hy-Tech Logistics, one of the leading and fastest growing Third Party Logistics Providers in Ireland, has gone fully live with a comprehensive warehouse management system from Birmingham, UK based ATMS plc.

The company has installed the system at its brand new warehouse in Rosemount Business Park in North Dublin.  The warehousing operation is designed to support multiple clients and can cater for a range of product types and warehousing activities – ranging from full pallets to pick and pack of individual consumer units.  The company has specific expertise in the pharmaceuticals market and is currently partnered with a number of leading manufacturers and distributors, looking after various elements of their supply chains.

The system provides the high level of traceability and audit-ability that Hy-Tech and its clients require, along with the ability to meet the new Sarbanes Oxley demands from the USA.  

Hy-Tech is also a freight forwarder and will be using the supply chain track and trace functionality of the system to enhance their customer offering.

The company makes full use of the Third Party Charging Module within the system -  Nick Tallon, Supply Chain Manager for Hy-Tech said ‘the beauty of the charging module is that we can present accurate and auditable charging information to our clients, we can measure the profitability of each of our operations – along with overall profitability and utilisation.  The controls and audit trails within the system enable us to measure our performance against client Service Level Agreements and allow us to demonstrate to clients our success in meeting these SLA’s – something that historically has been a time consuming operation.

Nick is also making full use of the ATMS DashBoard viewing module, this allows him and his team to balance the
load and labour resource across all their operations, labour can be reallocated according to client demands, historical information can be viewed along with forecasted information.    

The company will shortly be implementing the WebSpeed module of ATMS – this module allows clients to view information across the web, as well as to place call off requests and enter details of anticipated receipts.
Hy-Tech will also be implementing the latest version of DataHub, the ATMS module for EDI and AS/2
communication with trading partners.
